| CHILDRENS MINITRY |
Our children's ministry is designed to assist parents in the spiritual training of their children. In Ephesians 6:4 God has called parents to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We do not want to replace the crucial role of parents, instead our desire is to supplement the spiritual instruction children receive at home. Our goal is to assist in laying a firm foundation of Scripture, which is able to give children the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 3:15).
Our approach to training children is consistent with our approach to training adults. We teach the Bible in our children’s ministry continually and incrementally at all age levels. While the content for children is more basic, it still results in a deepening knowledge of who God is and what He requires of us. This ever-growing grasp of biblical truth provides the groundwork for saving faith, strong belief, and consistent practice.
Music is also an important part of our children's ministry. We encourage our children to sing joyfully about how great our God is. Through God-centered music, we are able to teach children how to praise our God and His Son.
We have three main avenues for ministering to children: Sunday school which meets from 9:15-10:00 am on Sundays, Children’s church which meets during the corporate worship service from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm on Sundays, and Awana which meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
Sunday School classes are structured into age groups as follows: birth-age 2, age 3, ages 4-5, 1st-3rd grade, and 4th-6th grade.
Children's church is an engaging interactive time of learning God's Word and singing during the corporate worship service. Children's church is also structured to serve 2 age groups: age 3-5; and kindergarden-3rd grade. |
